After more than a decade of designing, I changed my perspective on life. I returned to school and am now venturing into a new career as a certified health educator (CHES). I am currently enrolled in a Master's (M.Ed.) of Health and Wellness Education program. I have a bachelor's of integrated studies - emphasis in Nutrition, Health Promotion, and Children and Family Studies.
Through my years of training, I've learned the importance of health and community. I love spending time outdoors, preparing healthful foods, and teaching people the best ways to be healthy and happy. I love gardening, running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
I believe finding balance is the key to a successful, happy life. Absolutes are hard to live by. To achieve balance a person must be satisfied with their mental, physical, social, environmental, and emotional health. Balance requires a person to think analytically, be mindful, and to be honest with themselves and others. It's important to focus on quality rather than quantity. Balance allows for a person to live more simply and have more meaningful relationships. I believe it's important to incorporate a unified message that teaches people ways to find balance that improves their overall quality of life.
